Stan Glinka was born and raised in the Town of Southampton. After graduating with a BS in Business from Mount St. Mary’s College, he returned and began a career in local banking that has progressed to his current position as Vice President of Bridgehampton National Bank. Stan has been serving as our Southampton Town Councilman since January of 2014.
Stan’s personal life is devoted to community service, where he’s well known throughout the Township for his dedication as President of the Rogers Memorial Library Foundation, a Director of Dominican Sisters Family Health Services, a Past President of the Rotary Club of Hampton Bays and Treasurer for the Good Fellows of Suffolk County. He is past President of the Hampton Bays Chamber of Commerce and past Treasurer of the Southampton Business Alliance, positions he resigned from after being elected to public office.
He was honored in the summer of 2016 by Dominican Sisters Family Health Services (now known as Archcare) as their Person of the Year.
As a Town Councilman, Stan’s legislative duties include assignment to the Highway Department and the offices of the Comptroller, Tax Receiver and Tax Assessor. He is Committee Liaison to the Public Safety Commission, the Business Advisory Council, the Project Development Council, the Transportation Commission, the Licensing Review Board and the Hampton Bays Beautification Association. Stan’s special projects works include the Good Ground Park in Hampton Bays, the East End Transit Study, various historical restoration projects and promotion of tourism. He is also Town Board liaison for the hamlets of East Quogue, Hampton Bays and Tuckahoe.
